How to reduce wrinkles, tighten the oval of the face, strengthen the skin, and at the same time enhance the effect of the cream? All this can be done with massage. International training manager of the Payot brand Tatyana Ostanina showed Woman’s Day how to do facial massage correctly.

You can start a massage from any area of ​​the face, the main thing is to always move along the massage lines. Only in this case will a positive effect be guaranteed. We started from the forehead.

To repeat the movements, place your fingers on your forehead parallel to the eyebrow line. If you are doing a simple massage or combine it with the application of a cream, smoothly slide your fingers from the center to the periphery. If you are peeling, then use your fingertips in a circular motion.

It is good to perform a facial massage when applying the cream or at any other time, the main thing is to first cleanse the skin well of cosmetics and impurities.

For the area around the eyes, acupressure is effective. Pressing should be strong, but not stretching the skin, it is important to feel it. Start from the inside of the bridge of your nose and work your way up your upper eyelid along the brow line. Repeat the same on the lower eyelid.

Pay special attention to the outer corners of the eyes. It is here that small wrinkles appear, the so-called “crow’s feet” – a consequence of our active facial expressions. Stay in this area longer and make a series of tapping circular motions with your fingertips.

Facial massage: from chin to earlobe

Facial massage will help to improve skin tone, increase blood circulation, and therefore improve the penetration of nutrients.

Place your fingers on the bridge of your nose and using light pressure, move to the periphery. Please note that you must move clearly along the massage lines, namely: from the bridge of the nose to the upper part of the ear, from the middle of the nose to the middle of the ear and from the chin along the edge of the face to the earlobe.

Often wrinkles begin to appear around the lips, so this area also needs to be carefully worked out: put your finger on the line above the upper lip, press lightly and slide to the earlobe.

Also do an acupressure: place your fingertips in the center of your chin under your lower lip, and press lightly.

Pinching movements will help to strengthen the oval of the face. Start at the center of the chin and work along the oval to the very edge. This exercise is much more effective than the patting we are used to and is great for strengthening the chin and neck.

And to remove the second chin, tilt your head back. You should feel a strong pull in your chin and neck muscles. Count to three and return to starting position. Repeat 30 times.

It is believed that neck massage is done only from the bottom up, however, Payot suggests, on the contrary, to move from the chin to the décolleté line with gentle stroking movements. Thus, we ensure the outflow of lymph and relax the muscles. For convenience, you can place your left hand on the right side of your neck and your right hand on the left side.

With this movement, it is very convenient to distribute the cream over the skin. Especially in the evening, when all skin care rituals are aimed at relaxation.
