Snow-white float (Amanita nivalis) belongs to the category of mushrooms from the Amanitaceae family, the Amanita genus.

Екстерни опис

Mushroom Snow-white float (Amanita nivalis) is a fruiting body consisting of a cap and a leg. The cap of this mushroom reaches 3-7 cm in diameter, in young and immature mushrooms it is characterized by a bell-shaped shape, gradually becoming convex-prostrate or simply convex. In the middle of the cap, a bulge is clearly visible – a tubercle. In its central part, the hat of the snow-white float is rather fleshy, but along the edges it is uneven, ribbed. The skin of the cap is mostly white, but has a light ocher hue in the center.

The leg of a snow-white float is characterized by a length of 7-10 cm and a diameter of 1-1.5 cm. Its shape is cylindrical, slightly expanding near the base. In immature mushrooms, the leg is quite dense, but as it ripens, cavities and voids appear inside it. The leg of young snow-white floats is characterized by white color, gradually darkens, becoming dirty gray.

Mushroom pulp has no pronounced aroma or taste. With mechanical damage, the pulp of the fruiting body of the fungus does not change its color, remaining white.

On the surface of the fruiting body of a snow-white float, the remains of a veil are visible, represented by a bag-shaped and rather wide white Volvo. Near the stem there is no ring characteristic of many types of mushrooms. On the cap of young mushrooms you can often see whitish flakes, but in ripening mushrooms they disappear without a trace.

The hymenophore of the white float (Amanita nivalis) is characterized by a lamellar type. Its elements – plates, are located often, freely, significantly expanding towards the edges of the cap. Near the stem, the plates are very narrow, and in general they can have different sizes.

The spore powder is white in color, and the microscopic pore sizes vary between 8-13 microns. They are rounded in shape, smooth to the touch, contain fluorescent drops in the amount of 1 or 2 pieces. The skin of the mushroom cap consists of microcells, the width of which does not exceed 3 microns, and the length is 25 microns.

Сезона гњураца и станиште

The snow-white float is found on soils in wooded areas, on the edges of forests. Belong to the number of active mycorrhiza-formers. You can meet this type of mushroom on all continents except Antarctica. More often this mushroom can be found in deciduous forests, but sometimes it grows in mixed forests. In the mountains it can grow at altitudes of no more than 1200 m. It is rare to meet a snow-white float in our country, little known and poorly studied by scientists. Active fruiting of mushrooms of this species lasts from July to October. It is found in our country, Our Country, in some European countries (England, Switzerland, Germany, Sweden, France, Latvia, Belarus, Estonia). In addition, the snow-white float grows in Asia, in the Altai Territory, China and Kazakhstan. In North America, this mushroom species grows in Greenland.

Јестивост

The snow-white float is considered a conditionally edible mushroom, but little has been studied, so some mushroom pickers consider it poisonous or inedible. It is distributed in many European countries, but is very rare.

Слични типови и разлике од њих

Other types of mushrooms are similar to the snow-white float, and all of them belong to the category of conditionally edible. However, the snow-white float (Amanita nivalis) can be easily distinguished from other types of fly agaric by the absence of a ring near the stem.

Остале информације о печурки

The snow-white float belongs to the genus Amanitopsis Roze. Fruiting bodies of this species can be both large and medium in size. In immature mushrooms, the surface of the stem and cap is enclosed in a common coverlet, which fully opens as the fruiting bodies ripen. From it, at the base of the stem of the fungus, a Volvo often remains, which is not only well expressed, but also has a fairly large volume, is characterized by a bag-like shape. In mature mushrooms of a snow-white float, the Volvo may disappear. But the private cover on such mushrooms is completely absent, which is why there is no ring near the stem.

You can easily separate the hat of a snow-white float from the leg. There may be warts on her cuticle, which are very easy to separate from the thin upper cuticle.
