Иновативни интерактивни системи у дизајну

Sensation! The usual wallpaper, tablecloths and curtains will soon become a thing of the past. New technologies will allow you to change the appearance of a room with a single touch or wave of your hand.

Interactive systems

  • An unfortunate window view can be easily masked with Philips’ The Daylight Window multisensor device. One touch is enough!

It is a revolutionary digital technology, but at the same time a new word in interior design. Walls, floors and ceilings will turn into giant monitors and projection screens and learn to respond to gestures, touch and movement around the room. These “smart” devices free us from the need to painfully memorize key combinations – pin codes, numbers, codes. Thus, the border between the virtual world and reality will be erased naturally. Are you surprised? So know, developers at iO, Philips and 3M are doing it now.

Like in the movies

Remember the scene from Steven Spielberg’s Minority Report? The image of Tom Cruise controlling a computer, simply waving his hands in front of the screen, was and remains the brightest dream of the computer interface of the future. The developers took the director’s idea as a challenge. Armed with the slogan “Our hands are the best weapon for storming the technological walls”, they got down to work.

  • Interactive systems Sensitive Table and Sensitive Wall respond not only to touch, but also to gestures and movement around the room, iOO, iO and 3M.

Just touch it!

Royal Philips Electronics has launched a revolutionary device on the market – The Daylight Window. What is he like? Window glass is actually a multi-touch screen that responds to touch (the system is called a free interface). Thus, by touching it, it is easy to change the view from the window that annoys you, to choose the color of the virtual curtains, and also to adjust the time of day and even the weather. The model will go on sale after it has been tested in the Japanese hotel chain… It won’t be long to wait!

Walls, floors and ceilings will soon turn into giant monitors and projection screens that respond to our gestures and touch.

I’m being followed

Italian Jeanpietro Guy from the iO design group made another invention – the iOO interactive projection generator. How does he work? A special device (its patented name CORE) projects an image onto a plane – a wall, floor, ceiling or table. The built-in “peephole” resembling a security camera captures all your movements and movements around the room, “digests” this information and changes the video sequence in accordance with the set mode. For example, stepping on a virtual meadow-like carpet will scare away insects and sweep the grass. With your fingers in the aquarium projected on the table, ripple through the water. With one wave of your hand, you can draw a rainbow or a sunset on the wall. The visual effects can be very different – it all depends on your imagination. If desired, you can connect speakers to the projector and select the appropriate sound background. Miracles, and more!

  • Interactive systems Sensitive Table and Sensitive Wall respond not only to touch, but also to gestures and movement around the room, iOO, iO and 3M.
  • What’s outside the window? Day or night, New York or Tokyo? The Philips multi-touch device The Daylight Window does not limit your imagination in any way.

You can purchase the device via the Internet on the website ioodesign.com (approximate price 5 euros).
