American scientists (from the University of Buffalo) have conducted research and have proven that the best drink for a morning meal is orange juice.

A group of volunteers in the amount of 30 people aged 20-40 years participated in the experiment. The food they were offered was exactly the same: potatoes, ham sandwich and scrambled eggs. But the drinks were different. Three groups of 10 people each consumed plain water, sweetened water and orange juice, respectively.

Blood tests were performed after breakfast with an interval of 1,5-2 hours. The participants who drank orange juice showed the highest levels of immune substances and the lowest levels of sugar (glucose) in blood tests. The researchers also remind that orange juice should come into contact with the enamel of the teeth to a minimum, just use a straw when you drink it.
