- in the spring – with urea;
- during the formation of buds – nitrogen fertilizer;

- 2 weeks after flowering – superphosphate and wood ash.
Fertilizers must be dissolved in water and fed in liquid form.
Of the famous varieties, one can single out “Red Charm”, “Red Grace”, “Bob”, “Henry Bokstos”, “Karl Rosenfeld”, “Team Performance” and others.
This peony appeared in 1944, but its popularity is not decreasing. It is a bomb-shaped terry hybrid of a herbaceous peony. It is early in terms of ripening. Its height is 75-90 cm.
The inflorescence reaches a diameter of 22 cm. On the silky petals there is a dense ball of folded leaves. This pompom-like ball continues to grow until it fills the entire petal plate.
The bush is quite sprawling, its stems are strong. It has no side buds.
This is a later hybrid and appeared only in 1980. This bomb-shaped peony is very similar in appearance to the “Red Charm”. It is also deep red and tall – 90 cm and also has no side buds. The middle of the flower has the same large pompom, but there is a difference. Growing up, this pom-pom not only fills the “plate”, but also turns the entire inflorescence into a folded ball.
Another difference of this plant is that it quickly builds up the root system and replacement buds. All of this is classified as high economic characteristics.
Terry bomb-shaped red peonies are distinguished by huge inflorescences and powerful stems. Their other feature is pure, rich color without shades and overflows. All this gives the bushes a special severity and solemnity.
