1. Use your windows wisely

You can also put plants inside your house. They will allow your home to stay cool. If the weather is hot, you will need to remember to water your plants more regularly. They will indeed be almost as thirsty as you.

4. Dry your laundry indoors

Consider drying your laundry in your home. Already you will save energy by not using your dryer, but in addition you will allow your interior to be cooler. Use doors, chairs, anything that could serve as a clothes line. If it is hot, all your laundry will be dry in a few hours.

5. Unplug your electrical appliances

We don’t often realize that electrical appliances, when plugged in, produce heat. In the kitchen, therefore, remember to unplug your toaster, microwave or even coffee maker until you are using it. The temperature will not drop suddenly, but you will be sure not to increase the heat in your interior.
