Amianthic cystoderm (Cystoderma amianthinum) is a mushroom of the Champignon family, belonging to the genus Cystoderm.

Cap 3-6 cm in diameter, convex, sometimes with a small tubercle, with a flaky pubescent curved edge, then convex-prostrate, dry, fine-grained, ocher-yellow or ocher-brown, sometimes yellow.

Leg 2-4 cm long and about 0,5 cm in diameter, cylindrical, made, then hollow, light at the top, yellowish, granular below the ring, one-color with a hat, ocher-yellow, yellow-brown, darker towards the base. The ring is thin, yellowish, quickly disappearing.

The flesh is thin, soft, whitish or yellowish, with a slight unpleasant odor.

Cystoderma amianthus profusely bears fruit from August to September. You can find their fruiting bodies in forests of mixed and coniferous types. Mushrooms prefer to grow on coniferous litter, in the middle of moss, in meadows and forest clearings. Sometimes this type of mushroom is found in parks, but not often. Grows mostly in groups.
